Vijay teams up with AR Rahman for his next film after 'Pokkiri' titled 'Azhagiya Thamizh Magan'. The movie is going to be directed by Bharathan, Dharani's Assistant in the blockbuster Ghilli. Shreya, the heroine of Rajinikanth's Shivaji is going to team up with Vijay in this film which is going to be produced by Swagachitra Appachan.

Prem to direct Rajinikanth?
The grapevine is abuzz with the news that upcoming Kannada director Prem is supposed
to direct Rajinikanth in his next film after 'Sivaji'. Director Prem has so far directed three
Kannada films. He recently began the shooting for his next Kannada movie titled
'Bhoomi Mela Preethi Yellathai' in which Rajinikanth took part. Reports state that
Rajinikanth had apparently urged Prem to direct his next movie in Tamil. Prem has considered his
request and says, "I was thrilled by his request. Keen to work with him." Telling more about his film 'Bhoomi Mela
Preethi Yellathai' Prem says, "Punith Rajkumar is in the lead role. It would be a commercial entertainer with a strong
message."
Rajinikanth couldn't be contacted about the news to confirm the details.

Are Vasu and Kamal coming together? :
P Vasu who has already delivered 55 films including blockbusters like 'Chinna Thambi' and 'Chandramukhi' says that he has lot to learn and achieve in the industry. He says, "There is a lot to learn and one has to keep adapting to the emerging trends and tastes of the audience. Every film is a new beginning and a fresh challenge." How does he feel with the amazing success of Chandramukhi? "Great expectations put more pressure on me. But I love challenges. Rajini always wanted Chandramukhi to be a super hit. From day one I knew the film would be a success because of its storyline and most importantly, the Rajini factor. But I did not quite expect the film to reach the 500-day mark."
But so far P Vasu didn't work with Kamal Haasan. Why? Vasu says, "It should have happened long time back. He is such a talented film personality, with whom I always wanted to work with. Now efforts are on to direct Kamal Haasan soon. Perhaps next year, I would be directing one of the country's best actor." I can already hear the fire crackers bursting if something such happens!


Ajith's new crown :
Kollywood is abuzz with the news that Ajith has decided to act in the remake of Malayalam blockbuster film titled 'Kireedam', which means crown. The original version featured Mohanlal, Thilakan, Parvathy and Jagathy Sreekumar in the lead roles and was directed by Sibi Malayil.
Vijayan, one time associate of director Priyadarshan is going to direct this remake film. In fact, 'Kireedam' redefined Malayalam cinema. It is about how fate and human err shuttered the dreams of a youth. It also brings to light the fact that society forces individuals to act in a particular manner whether they like it or not.
